![]() Ok I did that, the disk seemed to be fine but when I tried repair disk permissions it shows me this on the terminal ![]() I tried reseting the PRAM and I can turn off normally exactly one time, after that either I reset the PRAM again, or I can't turn the computer off again in a normal fashion Is it possible that I accidentally deleted some sort of file that was needed to the well functioning of the OS? and now the computer it's just missing code(or something else) to get to these options? I thought it might be a hard drive problem so I changed it into a brand new SSD, I have 8GB of ram (also new) I also changed the battery recently, but the problem was here before the changes. I wanted to do a factory reset, just clean it all, but I can't even get into recovery mode, cmd+R won't do anything ![]() I'm having these issues and I think they might be related, so I can't turn off the computer after I log in, if I turn on the computer and just try to restart/turn off before I put my password in, no problem but (since I want to use a computer) when I get in my user and try to shut down, restart or even log out the computer just closes everything and does nothing, the finder bar on top disappears but the mouse clicker and the dock are still showing, I can only turn off by pressing the power button. Hi, So I have a Mackbook pro mid 2009 running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
